Why Black?

Ahh . . . well.

Did you never see the sunlight reflected on the sea,
or the sheen on a piece of black velvet,
perhaps the glow of light from a Christmas ornament -
the highlights and lowlights of blues and purples,
that silky soft muzzle and ears and the shine on her head?

Never mind me . . . I like black labradors. And yellows and chocs too.
