This is the alternate casting I have sent to Fox Studios originally but
got turned down. I think it would have worked out great, don't you?
Can you believe they actually choose David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson
over us? I can't believe it either!

Introduction

I have been an X-philer for several years now and have enjoyed watching
the show develop and grow over time. The complex relationship between
Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) has only
added to the incredible popularity of the show. The 'conspiracy theory'
plot which runs every couple shows plays on Mulder and Scully very well.
Last year's, X-Files movie proved it. I want to dedicate this page
to the show and have alot of fun with it!

The Truth is out there!

Here are FBI agents Fox Mulder
and Dana Scully hard at work

About the Show

For those of you who are not familiar with the X-files, it is a show
which chronicles the paths of two FBI agents on their quest to uncover
the truth behind unexplainable events. Sometimes, these events are attributed
to 'aliens' although the two agents have yet to prove that to their superiors.
A secret, very powerful group, crossing all major goverments in the world,
are always subverting the agents attempts to uncover the truth, afraid
they will reveal things the group has been hiding for over 50 years.
The major player in this secret group has no name, but X-philers know him
as the Cigarrette-Smoking Man (CSM) (played by William B. Davis).
He has influence over most everyone, including Mulder and Scully's
superiors in the FBI. Their direct superior, Assistant Director Skinner
(Mitch Pillegi) has tried to resist his powerful influence, but has not
always succeeded. The Well-Manicured Man is another shadowy player
in the conspiracy realm.

A softer look at David Duchovany
and Gillian Anderson

Other supernatural events or phenomeon have been attributed to a wide variety
of factors. Goverment tests gone wrong, 'monsters lurking underneath
the stairs' type creatures, people under the influence of mysterious forces
all add to the agents invesigations. Helping them are a trio of computer nerds
called 'The Lone Gunmen'. They hack their way into government files and
installations, run specialized tests for them on computer chips and databases
and sometimes help the agents on a physical assignment.

I invite you to sit back and look around this place. Enjoy!

Favorite Episode

Season One "Squeeze" & "Tombs"
Eugene Tombs is a very unique man with frightening abilities. Do you think
you're safe? When he's around, think again. Tombs has the ability to
contort his body in such a manner that he can "squeeze" through the smallest
of openings to attack his victims. Mulder and Scully went up against him twice and
found him to be very hard to pin down! I find this episode fascinating
because it represents a threat to our fundemental sense of security
and also because it brings back memories of old "dark, scary, come-out-of-nowhere"
monsters movies.

Season Two "Our Town"
You'll never look the same way at chicken again, after watching this episode!
It centers around a town using caniblism as a fountain of youth. A local chicken
meat processing plant is the central focus of the agents investigations.
This episode was on my favorites list because it makes the viewer take a closer
look at the people around him - are they all as they appear? What secrets are
they hiding that they might kill to preserve? Where did that chicken come from?

Season Three "Pusher"
Have you ever wanted to change someone's mind or make them do what you want?
Of course. That's human nature. But Robert Modell can do that with just a
thought. The feds call him Pusher because he 'pushes' his will onto you.
He was responsible for many 'suicides' by making the victim kill themselves.
The agents had a harrowing time catching Pusher and bringing him to justice.
I find the idea of instilling your will onto others tantalizing but, at
the same time, frightening. Denying each person their free will to decide
for themselves goes against the very nature of our human rights.

Season Four "Home"
Families can be very close-knit but no more so than the Peacocks.
Generations of in-breeding amounst themselves have created hideous,
disfigured, and mentally-deficient people but they are one of the closest
band of brothers you'll ever meet. They'd do anything for "Mom", herself even
worse off than her three sons. Set against the homey sheriff Andy Taylor
(Barney Fife wasn't there), the unbridled trio make trouble for all who
come against them - and that means Mulder and Scully too! This episode
was pervasive in that it deliberately set the hideous trio against the backdrop
of a 'Mayberry' style town and local authorities, making the brothers seem
even worse than might normally appear. The effect is very well done and
makes the agents investigations take on a new meaning.

Season Five "A Christmas Carol" & "Emily"
As a parent myself, I feel the emotional ups and downs Scully goes through in
episode particularly acute. Finding she's a parent to a three-year old
girl and then losing her to forces behind anyones control is such an emotional
roller-coaster ride that it is hard to imagine. The conspiracy plot backdrops
nicely against this personal scenerio but at times, makes the episode
more confusing. It pushes Scully to her limits to comprehend what has been
done, not just to her during her abduction three-years earlier, but now
carried over to her child. The fact that her relationship with Emily is so
short is particularly upsetting. A good emotional ride!

It's quite extensive and well worth checking out!

The alien background came from here.
