My Pack

I’ll start with my master Amy. She is a very nice person-dog, and a gentle master. She’s the one that pushes buttons to heat the ’Indescribably Wonderful Wheat Pack’ Then there’s two big masters, in a higher rank than Amy, who are called ‘Mum’ and ‘Dad’. Two other person-dogs are called, ‘Bethany’ and ‘Gemma’. Amy calls them her sisters. They have the same rank as Amy. I don’t know where all their fur is, they only have some on their heads.
My fellow furry dogs are Alfie and Pebbles. Amy said that Alfie is a ten-year-old daschund and Pebbles is a five-year-old maltese x Jack Russell. Alfie is highest in rank in our group, and Pebbles is my playmate.
There is also a budgie called Zachary*, he's got what Amy calls 'feathers'.
Next come two REALLY small dogs with no legs that live in a cage outside. Gemma is their master and she calls them guinea-pigs.
There are also three HUGE dogs that live in a paddock called Ellie, Najah, and Seargant. Every morning and night, someone says to me,’come on, Jessie, let’s feed the horses.’ And we go outside and give them hay or this really yummy stuff called ‘horse feed’. Amy gets cross when I tip over the bucket to eat it. I don’t know why. Sometimes they go and ‘ride the horses’ but I don’t know what that is because I’m kept inside. Amy says she doesn’t want me to be stepped on.
*A very sad thing has happened. Zachary died of old age on Sunday, the 23rd of January, 1999. Everyone has been upset, even though I tried to comfort Amy. Another budgie has come to live with us, though, he is a baby called Sanka.
