Old
Black Fly
by Jim Aylesworth
Old Black Fly by Jim Aylesworth is a Lake County Public
Library Recommended Book for Kindergarten through Third Grade.
This is a cute story about Mama,
Sister, Baby and Gramma who chase an old black fly. You follow
the fly as it "ate" the "apple" pie crust,
"bothered" the "baby," "coughed"
on the "cookies" ... and so forth until you take the
full alphabetical tour. Kirsten and I really enjoyed the colorful
illustrations.
Rating:
This is a great book for kids who
are just starting to learn the reading process. The colorful
illustrations and silly story will keep their attention while
they learn different words that start with each letter of the
alphabet. You can purchase this book on line through Amazon's
secured order site!
