286. Benjamin⁶ Bearce (Benajmin⁵, Thomas⁴ Bearse, Shubael³, James², Augustine¹, Gauche^A) was born in Pembroke, MA 9/16/1787. Benjamin died 11/15/1863 in Hanson, MA or Pembroke, MA, at 76 years of age.

He married Sophia Peterson in Pembroke, MA, 2/11/1811. Sophia was born 11/18/1790. She was the daughter of Jacob Peterson and Betsey Turner. Sophia died 6/11/1875 at 84 years of age.

Benjamin Bearce and Sophia Peterson had the following children:

425 i. Sophia⁷ Bearce was born in Pembroke, MA 1812. Sophia died 11/27/1823 in Pembroke, MA. Her body was interred in Pembroke, MA, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

+ 426 ii. George Washington Bearse was born 12/30/1814.

427 iii. Maria P. Bearce was born in Pembroke, MA 3/5/1816. Maria died 1891. She married Joseph Reed in Pembroke, MA, 3/17/1849. Joseph was born 1813. He was the son of Simeon Reed.

428 iv. Nancy Briggs Bearce was born in Rochester, MA 12/26/1820. She married three times. She married Phillip Mason Tew. (See Phillip Mason Tew for the continuation of this line.) She married James Reed. She married Samuel Niles.

+ 429 v. Benjamin Harrison Bearce was born 7/22/1822.

430 vi. Sophia D. Keith Bearce was born in Pembroke, MA 6/9/1828. Sophia died 2/8/1918 at 89 years of age. Her body was interred in Pembroke, MA, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. She married twice. She married George Monroe. She married Alfred G. Howe 7/19/1846. Alfred was born 1827. He was the son of Gardner Howe. Alfred died 1864.
