16. Benjamin³ Bearse Sr. (Joseph², Augustine¹, Gauche^A) was born in Barnstable, MA 6/21/1682. Benjamin died 5/15/1748 in Hyannis, MA, at 65 years of age.

He married twice. He married Sarah Cobb in Barnstable, MA, 2/4/1701/2. Sarah was born in Barnstable, MA 8/20/1681. She was the daughter of Samuel Cobb and Elizabeth Taylor. Sarah died 1/14/1742 in Hyannis, MA, at 60 years of age. He married Anna Nickerson in Chatham, MA, 8/25/1747.

Benjamin Bearse Sr. and Sarah Cobb had the following children:

+ 30 i. Augustine⁴ Bearse was born 6/3/1704.

31 ii. Elizabeth Bearse was born in Barnstable, MA 3/3/1706/7. Elizabeth died DY.

+ 32 iii. Joseph Bearse was born 10/30/1708.

+ 33 iv. Benjamin Bearse Jr. was born 3/26/1710.

34 v. Jesse Bearse was born in Barnstable, MA 10/22/1710/12. Jesse died DY.

35 vi. Priscilla Bearse was born in Barnstable, MA 6/5/1713. She married Elnathan Lewis 10/16/1735. Elnathan was born in Yarmouth, MA 8/27/1702. He was the son of Jabez Lewis and Experience Hamblin. Elnathan died 6/16/1782 at 79 years of age.

36 vii. David Bearse was born in Barnstable, MA 3/17/1716. David died DY.

+ 37 viii. Peter Bearse was born 10/15/1718.

38 ix. Samuel Bearse was born in Barnstable, MA 12/9/1720. Samuel died 10/30/1751 at 30 years of age.

39 x. Sarah Bearse was born in Barnstable, MA 7/5/1722/4. She married Ebenezer Nickerson 2/17/1744.

40 xi. Thankful Bearse was born in Barnstable, MA 2/4/1724. She married Shubael Nickerson in Barnstable, MA or Yarmouth, MA, 3/16/1745.
