He married Mehitable Holbrook in Weymouth, MA or Smithfield, RI, 7/20/1670. She was the daughter of William Holbrook and Elizabeth Pitts.

He was christened 5/28/1648.

Jonathan Sprague and Mehitable Holbrook had the following children:

46 i. Joanna⁴ Sprague was born before 17157, the first event for which there is a recorded date. Joanna died 17157. She married John Tefft. John was born 1676. He was the son of Samuel Tefft and Elizabeth Jenckes. John died 1762. (See John Tefft for the continuation of this line.)

47 ii. Mary Sprague was born on (birth date unknown). She married Daniel Brown.

48 iii. Persis Sprague was born on (birth date unknown). She married Ebenezer Cook.

49 iv. Patience Sprague was born in Providence, RI about 1675. She married William Jenckes. William was born 1675. He was the son of Joseph Jenckes and Esther Ballard. William died 10/2/1765. (See William Jenckes for the continuation of this line.)

50 v. Jonathan Sprague was born in Providence, RI about 1679. He married Bethiah Mann 11/28/1699.

51 vi. William Sprague was born in Providence, RI 2/2/1691. William died 1768. He married Alice Brown 9/16/1714.
