3. Jan Pieterson³ Harring (Pieter² Haring, Jan¹) was born in Hoorn, Holland 12/26/1633. Jan died 12/7/1683 in Bowery, NY, at 49 years of age.

He married Margrietie (Grietje) Cozyns in Bowery, NY, 5/8/1662. Margrietie was born in Harlem, Holland 5/2/1641. She was the daughter of Cozyn Gerritsen and Vroutje Samsons. Margrietie died after 1685.

Jan Pieterson Harring and Margrietie (Grietje) Cozyns had the following children:

+ 4 i. Peter Janszen⁴ Harring was born 8/13/1664.

5 ii. Vrouetye Harring was born in Harlem, NY or Tappan, NY 5/3/1667. Vrouetye died 1743. She married Teunis Jacobsen Quick in Harlem, NY or Tappan, NY, 12/1/1689. He was the son of Jacob Theuniszen Quick and Neeltje Cornelis. (See Teunis Jacobsen Quick for the continuation of this line.)

She made a will 11/11/1743.

+ 6 iii. Cozyn Janse Harring was born 3/3/1669.

+ 7 iv. Cornelius Janse Harring was born 3/4/1672.

8 v. Brechie Harring was born in Harlem, NY or Tappan, NY 7/4/1675. Brechie died 1/12/1709 at 33 years of age. She married Teunis Douwe Talema 1694. Teunis died 7/17/1739 in Nyack, NY. (See Teunis Douwe Talema for the continuation of this line.)

She was baptized in Old Dutch Church, NY, 7/17/1675. Religion: religion unknown.

9 vi. Mary or Maria Harring was born in Harlem, NY or Tappan, NY 9/27/1679. Mary died after 1695. She married Jacob Tyse Flierboom 1695. Jacob was born in Albany, NY 1679. (See Jacob Tyse Flierboom for the continuation of this line.)

+ 10 vii. Abraham Jans Harring was born 11/24/1681.
