He married twice. He married Deborah Gorham 11/15/1738. He married Patience Howland by 1740.

Samuel Barker (Capt.) and Patience Howland had the following child:

5 i. Patience⁵ Barker was born in Scituate, MA 10/27/1740. Patience died 2/3/1821 in Hanson, MA or Pembroke, MA, at 80 years of age. She married Thomas Josselyn Jr in Scituate, MA, 6/10/1761. Thomas was born in Hanover, MA 9/26/1733. He was the son of Thomas Josselyn and Ann Stockbridge. Thomas died 1/20/1818 in Hanson, MA or Pembroke, MA, at 84 years of age.
