The bench started out as a damaged solid core birch door
from Home Depot. I bought the door and "The WorkBench
Book" by Scott Landis and started planning.
The perimeter of the door is made from 4/4 maple with
finger joint corners. The shoulder vise and end vise
use threaded wooden dowels.
The base is made from white pine and provides storage
for hand power tools and bench dogs and clamps.
