This horse was built for Lindsay's first Christmas in 1990.
This design is from a circa 1800 horse at Old Sturbridge
Village - and the New Yankee Workshop program.
I altered the horse by making him bigger and flattening out
the arc of the rockers. The original was 12" tall at the
seat - this one is 18" at the seat.
The body is built from 4/4 maple and the head & tail are
built from 8/4 maple.
At eight years old, Lindsay can still get on and
ride him. Yipeeee!!!!
