I am the youngest daughter
from eight children of my parents, Syarif Nurhidayat(alm) and
Yetty Suminah. I was born in Jakarta, September 24, 1965. My
father died in 1974., when I was only 8 years old. I finished
elementary school and high school in this metropolitan city, the
capital city of my beloved country, Indonesia. My favorite food
is Padang food (gulai otak) in 'Sepakat' restaurant Blok M, and
Bakmi Gajah Mada's fried rice, pangsit goreng, and i-fu-mie. My
hobby is music and singing. My sport is court tennis.
I start my undergraduate
study in finanncial management and banking in Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu
Ekonomi (STIE) Bhakti Pembangunan, Jakarta-Indonesia in August
1984. At that time, I was lucky that I got "Supersemar"
scholarship from my school. Before I graduated, from 1989 to 1991
I work as Aken Life Insurance Company's marketing staff, Ita
Syarif Salon's accountant, and an auditor in Gatot Permadi's
Public Acountant consultants. I graduated in November 1991, only
one month before my first child, Adil Mochtar was born. Before that, in March
10, 1991 I married a nice man, Krishna Mochtar, a lecturer at Indonesia
Institute of Technology (ITI), Serpong. We met when we were active in a
youth islamic organization (Remaja Masjid Al Ikhlas-REMILA) in
1983. We have a common hobby: music. He plays guitar and piano,
and I sing.
In August 1992 Krishna was
lucky that he got a scholarship from OTO Bappenas to pursue a
Master's degree in civil engineering (construction engineering
and management) at Illinois Institute of Technology
(IIT),
Chicago-USA. I and Adil joined him living in Chicago in June
1993. I got a certificate in 'Small Business Management' course
from International Corespondence School (ICS), USA at that time.
My friends were mbak Rini (pak Slameto's wife), mbak Nila (pak
Syafedi's wife), mbak Esti (Pak Tunggul's wife), and many others.
I like Chicago, because it has a lot of places to go such as Ford
City Mall, Museums, and its famous 'Carson Perie's super duper'.
We came back to Indonesia as Krishna graduated in May 1994.
Since then, I worked for
Jagorawi Golf and Country Club (JGCC), Bogor- the biggest golf
court in South East Asia- as a membership relations. I like to
work there as the friendly work climate. My beautiful second
child, Adila Amilia Mochtar was born on April 15, 1996.
Again, in August 1997,
Krishna was lucky that he got a scholarship from IIT Chicago-USA
as a Teaching Assistant, so that he can pursue a Philosophy
Doctoral's degree in construction engineering and management.
Like always, I love to live in Chicago. It is a great place to
live! With a scholarship from JGCC, I got a certificate in
'Property Management' from Professional Carier Development
Institute, USA- in May 1999. Alhamdulillah, Krishna finished his
study in May 2000.
Back to Indonesia in 2000, I worked for 1 year in my old office group in Gatot Permadi's Public Accountant office in Kebayoran Lama, and also in "Tasya" children magazine. Tasya is Pak Gatot's daughter. Begining in 2001 up to present, I transfered to (also) my old office in Jagorawi Golf as General Affair Staff (2001-2002), Membership Manager (2002-2003), Purchasing Staff (2003-2004), and Purchasing Manager (2004-present). Wish me luck!
