"Shattered Dreams"

The sound of laughter and joy filled the corridors
A flurry of bodies oblivious to any danger

A bell rings and all the children disperse to different rooms
An authoritarian voice booms out

"Everybody please be quiet and sit down"
As the innocents readily accept this voice

The danger lurks nearby still remains invisible

Seconds become minutes, minutes become hours
And still the danger begins to cast a giant shadow

Unaware, the children go about a daily routine
Until suddenly, the sound of panic spreads it's wings

Firstly to one room, then another,
Finally enveloping the whole building

A indiscriminate odour appears,

The smell and sounds of death has cast a large,
Dark cloud over this once vibrant alive place
As the situation clears the aftermath ofwhat has happened
Evokes community to everlasting mourning
A teenager slowly falls asleep the thoughts
Still to unreal to believe
As his mind slowly adjusts to his wants
His eyes slowly but surely close
A rattle, a thump, a sickening cry envolopes his sleep
Sweat pours from his body
Mucles suddenly tence
Sitting upright the memories haunts this innocent child
