God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and it repented
the Lord that he had made man on the earth. He was grieved in his heart.
Gen. 6:5-6 But Noah had found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Noah was a
just man and perfect in the generations and Noah walked with God

God looked at the earth and saw that all flesh had corrupted his way upon
the earth. God told Noah that the end of all flesh had come before Him, the
earth was filled with violence; and that He would destroy all flesh with the
earth.

God gave Noah detailed instructions about how to build an ark, whereby
Noah and his family of three sons, their wives and Noah's wife and two of
every living creature of the earth might be saved. Noah obeyed God and
worked a hundred years building the ark just as God had instructed him.
This was God's plan of salvation for Noah and his family. If Noah and his
family had not gotten into the ark they would have drowned........been lost!

The Lord's Church is our ark............It is the plan of salvation for us, but we
like Noah who had to go into the ark, must "go into" the Lord's Church to
have eternal life. Mark 16:16 tells us that "He that believeth and is baptized
shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." When we are
baptized the Lord adds us to his church, He writes our name in the book of
life. When we are in the Lord's church we receive the love, grace, mercy and
forgiveness that Jesus has promised. As long as we walk in the light, we
have fellowship one with another the blood of Jesus Christ his Son
cleanseth us from all sin.
