By mid-November the kids had graduated from the ventilators to CPAPs and then to nasal canulas.
Their weights were in the neighborhood of 3 pounds, and we had had no major setbacks.
Chris had developed an enormous hernia, which would later require two surgeries,
but on the whole they were doing very well.
Julie had finally left the hospital on October 9th, after a two-month stay, and was
adjusting to life back at home. We entered the holiday season with much to be thankful for.
