First let me explain the Skirtchaser nic. I used to own a hot air balloon. On the very bottom of the balloon, there is a special piece of material that is called the skirt. When my ex used to fly the balloon I would drive our van and "chase" her and the balloon all over the county, ergo the Skirtchaser nickname. (At least that’s the explanation I used to give when she was around.)

I’m proud of a few things. First are my kids. They have skills and talents that I never imagined anyone in my family would ever have. Another thing I am proud of, is the fact that I have been to 49 of the 50 states (with Hawaii being the missing one.)

More recently I have become interested in Birding. I have made several trips to Texas to be with my friend, Leta, and we have gone on a couple birding expeditions. Texas is a great place to bird. One of my favorite birds is the Green Heron. Its behaviour is very entertaining to watch.

Another activity I have taken up is square dancing! It is a ton of fun and get me out and moving. I have even been 'elected' treasurer of the local club, Single Squares of Jackson. Maybe, I can set up a web page for them too.

Another 'activity' I have been somewhat active in, is at Bookcrossing.com. Its a really cool website, that promotes and tracks books 'released into the wild' and then if they are found, the finders can make journal entries on the website.
