NOVEMBER REPORTS
-
Sunday, November 5, 2000 -- We simply praise the Lord as He continues to bless at Landmark MBM with three more additions. During the invitation following the morning message, three young ladies came forward professing their faith in Christ and seeking Scriptural baptism and to become members of this work. They were baptized in the evening services. Also, attendance was good today, with 50 in Sunday School, 59 in the Morning Worship, and 3 first time visitors. We had 10 visitors in the Evening Worship services. We thank God for His blessings, and we thank you for your prayers and financial support. May our Lord bless you all for your faithfulness.

Sunday, November 12, 2000 -- This was another good Sunday, with two more additions. Today an older couple (who have just built a new house in the area) came forward to unite with us on the promise of a letter. We believe they will prove to be a great blessing to the work here. There were 48 present for Sunday School and 54 attending the Morning Worship services. Once again we had first time visitors, one of which seemed quite impressed with the services and the simple teaching of the truth of God's Word. As always, thank you for your prayers and support. We give all glory to God for what He is doing in the city of Hope. May He bless all of your for your concern for this work.
-
Sunday, November 19, 2000 -- Attendance was down slightly due, in part, to the coming holiday. The Lord still blessed with 42 in Sunday School and 51 in the Morning Worship services. Work on the building has slowed some as we look for a contractor to finish the inside framing. Please pray with us that we will find someone dependable soon and that our people will not get discouraged by the momentary delay. We thank you for your prayers and financial support and ask God's blessings upon you all.
-
Sunday, November 26, 2000 -- Our attendance was back up today as we had 52 present for Sunday School and 59 attending the Morning Worship services. There were 5 first time visitors. We praise the Lord for His goodness toward us and give Him all the credit for the way in which this work has grown. We thank each of you for your faithfulness in bringing us before the Lord in prayer as well as for your financial support. As always, we ask God to bless each of you with His richest blessings.
1999 REPORTS
-
Sunday, November 7, 1999 -- Attendance was good on this first Sunday in November, even with some of our "regulars" absent due to illness. Twenty-three were present for Sunday School, and thirty attended the Morning Worship, with one first time visitors. We enjoyed the Arkansas State Association meeting last week in Forrest City, and we thank the churches of Arkansas for once again voting to support this missionary through the state mission fund. We look forward to seeing God's continued blessings upon the work here in Hope, and we thank you for your prayers and support.
-
Sunday, November 14, 1999 -- Twenty-nine attended and thirty-two were present for the Morning Worship services today at Landmark MBM. We continue to see visitors and a good deal of interest in the mission work. The clearing has started on our property, and we hope to have Bro. Marion Reed with us this week to visit with the city code enforcement officer so we may get to work on the final version of our building plans. Thank you for you prayers and financial support, and please continue to remember us in prayer daily. May God richly bless each one of you.
-
Sunday, November 21, 1999 -- Today was a day full of blessing at Landmark MBM. First of all, the Lord added two more to the work as one lady came forward in the morning service expressing to unite with us on the promise of a letter from a Baptist church in Oklahoma. Another lady joined in the evening service, coming on her statement of salvation and scriptural baptism. We were also blessed to have 17 in Sunday School and 31 in the Morning Worship service, with two first time visitors. Following the morning services three of our visitors inquired about joining the work here at Hope. Then, we were blessed to receive a check in the amount of $5,000 for our building fund. The check was from the Second Baptist Church in Malvern, Arkansas and their good pastor, Bro. Don Price. Our sincere thanks go out to this faithful church for their generous offering. Of course, we appreciate and thank each one of you who supports this work through your prayers and finances. We thank God for you all, because know that without your willingness to be submissive to the leadership of His Spirit, we would be unable to continue in the work. We hope each one has a happy Thanksgiving holiday, and we pray that God may richly bless you all for your faithfulness.
-
Sunday, November 28, 1999 -- Attendance was down in both Sunday School and the Morning Worship today -- partly due to the Thanksgiving holiday, and partly due to illness. Some had gone out of town for the holiday and chose to return on Sunday. One family, with about six or eight members, was out due to illness. For those reasons, we only had 19 in Sunday School and 19 in the Morning Worship. However, we did have one first time visitor in attendance. As always, we thank you for your prayers and financial support.
1998 REPORTS
-
Sunday, November 1 -- God continues to bless Landmark MBM. We had a total of 23 in the morning worship services; eighteen were present for Sunday School. There were three first time visitors in the services, and some who had planned to attend were unable to due to a family emergency. The father of one lady who was intending to be present was taken to the hospital around seven o'clock with what was believed to be a heart attack. Instead, it was a gall bladder attack, and he will have surgery on Monday, the second. Please remember this one in prayer. Bro. Fulmer is making plans to attend the Arkansas State Association meeting this week. We are looking forward to fellowshipping with the brethren and sharing a report on the work at Hope with you all. As always, thank you for your support and most of all for your prayers. It is our desire that God would bless each of you in your personal lives and in your church life.
-
Sunday, November 8 -- Once again God has blessed us at Landmark MBM. Although attendance was down (14 in S.S. and 20 in M.W.) due, at least in part, to bad weather, we saw two additions. One lady came forward at the end of the morning worship services stating her desire to join on promise of a letter. In the evening worship, a young man came forward expressing his desire to receive Scriptural baptism and to unite with Landmark MBM. These two additions were the "icing on the cake." On Saturday evening, the 7th, Landmark hosted the First Union Association Youth Rally with a total of 76 present. This was the first time in several years that the work at Hope had hosted any such rally. Also, earlier in the week, Bro. Fulmer was approved by the messengers from the churches in Arkansas as a missionary on full state salary. We thank our sister churches for this action. The placing of Bro. Fulmer on state support will allow us to make some much needed repairs to the building -- i.e., a parking lot, a new roof, and new flooring throughout. We ask for your continued prayers and support. Bethel MBC is still providing for Bro. Pat's housing and health insurance, and Landmark MBM is paying his utilities. Thank you, once again, sister churches for helping us to provide for our missionary and his family.
-
Sunday, November 15 -- The weather was better, and attendance was up this week at Landmark MBM, with 15 in Sunday School and a total of 23 in the morning worship service. Bro. Fulmer reports two first time visitors again this week. Eighteen came back in the evening, where they observed the first baptismal services at Landmark Missionary Baptist Mission. We can only praise God for His blessings upon us. The paving of the parking lot is to take place this week. After it is completed, we will begin to concentrate on needed repairs to the building. We thank each one who has and continues to support this work, either by your prayers or by your prayers and offerings. Words can never express how much we appreciate you.
-
Sunday, November 22 -- Attendance held steady this week with numbers in the mid-teens for Sunday School and mid-20's (23) in the Morning Worship. We plan to meet with Bro. Archie Beggs of the Arkansas Mission Builders tomorrow to discuss necessary repairs to the building. The parking lot was completed earlier in the week. It has supplied an added interest in the things that are going on here at Landmark MBM. Thank you for your prayers and financial support. We just ask that you would continue to remember us as you pray and, when in the area, come by to visit us at 1900 E. Hempstead (the corner of Hempstead and Center) in Hope. May God bless each one of you.
-
Sunday, November 29 -- Once more Bro. Pat reports an attendance of 14 in the Sunday School. However, the number was down a little (to 20) in the morning worship. One faithful member had to work today (which is a rarity), and another family was out of town. However, we are thankful for the presence of five first time visitors in the services. Last Monday we met with Bro. Archie Beggs of the Arkansas Mission Builders to discuss needed work on the building. The center section (the white section in the pictures of the building) will need extensive work to repair a sagging roof line. We also need to build a retaining wall on the east side of the property to shed the water which comes off of Center Street during heavy rains. We are looking at an approximate cost of $20,000 with most of the labor donated by the Mission Builders. As always, we thank you for your prayers and financial support and pray God's richest blessings upon you all.
