Noah

Our first meeting with Noah was on Halloween night 1996. One of my sister's friends had a kitten given to her by a boyfriend. The girl's mother told her she couldn't keep the kitten. Knowing our family's soft heart for all strays and homeless cats, the girl brought the kitten to our house. He was a small little bundle of blacks, browns, whites and golds and was sort of scruffy looking at first. He was still adorable, though. He spent the majority of the night in Mom's arms, and then it was final...he was the newest member of the family!
I moved out about a month after that, so I wasn't there for most of Noah's growing up stages, but everyone would tell me that he was crazier than Noni had been and the two of them constantly teamed up to destroy the house together.
When I came back home in June 1997 I was shocked to see how big Noah had gotten. He had grown into a very fine, handsome young man. His golden eyes and fall-colored coat went perfectly with his handsome little features. He was gorgeous. He seems to have some of Calli's old arrogance (not quite as bad), but definitely seems to have some sinister side worse than Noni's!
Mom told me the story of how last Christmas their favorite game was to see who could race to the top of the Christmas tree first! Mom would walk into the living room to see the entire 7 ft. tree swaying where it stood!
Noah is Mom's baby. His favorite pasttime is to curl up and sleep on the hamper when Mom goes to take a bath. Her baths usually take place at the same time every night, and I have actually seen this cat fuss at Mom when she runs late for their nightly "date". All she has to say is, "Let's go take our bath, Noah", and he's at her heels running for the bathroom. What drives him nuts is when she goes in and out the bathroom, beginning to start the water and everything, but talking to me usually and not going in. Obviously agitated, Noah will run in and out of the bathroom, meowing and fussing loudly for everyone to hear him!
Noah's most prominent trait is his cocky attitude and authority-problem. Most cats will look down in shame or run off when fussed at for doing something wrong. Not Noah. He will stand there and meow right back at you...and it sounds as if he's telling you off! He's quite a cat!
