Julina "Lila" Fair Dykes was born Dec 12, 1875 in Dykes, Kentucky, the fifth child of William Henry Dykes and Charlotte Ellender Van Hook.

On June 19, 1890, Lila Fair married Charles Brent Meece in Somerset, KY. She bore nine children, all born in Kentucky. In 1904 the family moved to Montana and settled first in Central Park where the lumber mill was working several hundred men. In 1912 they moved to Manhattan where Mr. Meece operated a blacksmith shop until his retirement.

Lila Fair was a member of the Baptist Church and Sweet Briar Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. She died on Apr 2, 1958 at the age of 82 in Manhattan.
