You awaken to the sound of bells and buzzing,a television set blaring the lastest bad news of corrupt politics, murders and robberies.
You quickly eat, shower and shave, then you are off for the daily indy car race to work.
Traffic is thick and your tolerance thin.
This is evident in your harsh hello's and short "How are you's".
First thing in the morning is how everyone has problems and reasons why their work was not done, making your's all that much harder to accomplish.
After blurring through the morning, you look forward to lunch when you can slow down and find peace.
Then before you know it lunch is here and gone, even though you swear it felt like you just sat down.
Then come's the afternoon rush, where what was suposse to be done in the morning, still is not done and you are need to leave work on time for once.
It is now half past the time your supposse to leave and all you can think about is the gleaming red of stop lights and tail lights that stretch from the sky to right in front of your face.
Stuck somewhere in between frustration and hopelessness, not to mention the traffic.
Your thoughts dart between what's for dinner and how much you did'nt get done at work even when you worked through lunch.
As you pull into the driveway, you begin to think of the little things that need to be done first and even though little, they are time consuming when stacked together.
As you try to put together something edible and wash dishes and wipe off the counter from the morning rush and answer the phone, your mind is now racing between the job and "I hope the kids will be in bed early so I can rest.
Then as you sit down to relax for a couple hours, you find your eyes growing heavy and the light dim.
You think to yourself that you will close your eyes only for a second, but when you wake up it is early next morning and your neck is stiff from falling asleep on the couch.
Now it is time to start the whole process again and the first thing you think is "When I retire from this crippling pace,I am going to slow way down".
That right there is the problem, when you retire.
Slow done NOW.
That place of content that you are so fruitlessly chasing is not a new job or car.
It is not in retirement or a vacation to France
You won't find it at the bottom of a bottle or around the corner.
As a matter of fact, that's probably why you have not found yet.
No one will hand it to you or sell to it to you.
.
It is here and now my friend.
Do not let it slip away, for you can not retrieve or relive it.
When it it is gone,it is gone forever.
So look at this moment because it is your happiness that fades as fast as time.
Look around you and let the world in and your soul out.
