Describe a situation in where telling the truth is vital. What about Doctor’s visits?
What are some of the consequences of not telling your Doctor the truth?
What happens to you-- in your heart -- when you discover you have been told a lie?
What happens to a relationship when it is built on a pattern of deceit?
What would happen to a person’s relationship with God if they could not believe all of what God says is true?
Why was Jesus not believed yet the father of lies the devil is believed?
(John 8:43-44 KJV) Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. (John 8:45-46 KJV) And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
When Jesus prayed for us what did He want?
(John 17:15-18 KJV) I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
Does God ever Lie under any circumstances?
(John 1:14 KJV) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Can you see the difference to the Lord of telling the truth or a lie?
(Prov 12:19 KJV) The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
(Prov 12:22 KJV) Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.
(Prov 19:5 KJV) A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.
Does God want us to be honest? And Does He want us to be honest all the time?
(Col 3:9-10 KJV) Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
What is the fate of one who chooses to lie and one who choses to tell the truth?
(Zep 3:13 KJV) The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.
(Eph 4:24 KJV) And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
(Eph 4:25 KJV) Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
(Rev 21:8 KJV) But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Be blessed....
