(Psa 37:1-2 KJV) “A Psalm of David. Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.”
Ever been in a situation where it seems the good guy always finishes last? Here the Lord is admonishing us to not be envious and not to worry about the evildoers or what they are doing. We are to be looking to Him. When the Lord Jesus comes in His Glory they will be cut down and wither. So when the Lord says the evil workers of iniquity shall soon be cut down, time is not relevant to Him at this point. For if the Lord says it, it shall be done.

(Psa 37:3 KJV) “Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.”
Now this verse is a promise that I shall hold fast. I believe that there will come a time that the Lord will provide our every need. Will our faith hold the test to Trust Him for all things even in famine, pestilence and war.
*****************
(Psa 37:4-5KJV) “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”
For those whom have committed their way to the Lord and delight in Him there is no need of explanation of this verse, for we know the desires of our hearts are not fancy cars and homes. We long for the time when all men will commit their ways to the Lord for only in that is there true delight and peace.

(Psa 37:6-7 KJV) “And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.”
The Lord tells us in Revelation that we shall receive our crown of life;(Rev 2:10 KJV) “Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.” We must endure some of the trials that some will have thrust upon them. His promises are true for our Lord can not lie.
How many of us are worried about the anti-christ or are panicking due to the mark of the beast? Do we need to worry or fret? Can we stop what is about to happen in our lifetimes? You see the Lord has spoken it and the prophesies will come to pass. Instead of fright we should be praising the Lord and seeking His face for our guidance because in that, is the protection He promises. If we are not looking to Him we will become confused and can become victims of fear.
******************
(Psa 37:8-12 KJV) “Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.”
The Lord tells us that if we kill with the sword we shall die with the sword. If we see terrible calamities we are not to become angered. If we witness our own children dying at the hands of evil doers we are to wait upon the Lord. The Lord will renew our strength. The plans of the Lord will be for yet a little while and then He shall come and the wicked shall not be. We shall inherit the earth and be forever in abundant peace. The wicked will hunt us down and want to persecute us. We have to be listening to the Lord for all of our instructions from Him.
*******************
(Psa 37:13 KJV) “The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.”
The Lord knows that His time is coming and laughs at all the plans of the evil for it for nothing and will gain them nothing. I pray He is not laughing at our foolishness and worries about these times.
*******************
(Psa 37:14-17 KJV) “The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken. A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.”
In these days of political correctness we will be persecuted for our ideology. We can not say there is a God of the Bible that we believe. We are told to believe that Jesus is just a good man or prophet. But then we call Jesus a liar as they do. They are so fooled and deceived by their own lies that they do not see the truth.
If Jesus is a good man or prophet as they say, and not the Son of God as we say, then they are deceived. You see if Jesus was a good man or a prophet He would not lie. If Jesus tells us “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, and no man comes to the Father but by Me.” You see where I am going with this? So Jesus, Himself told us He is the Son of God and not a prophet. If you believe in Jesus, Whom do you say He is? Who is Jesus to You? Beware of your answer for this is not a trick question from me. Have you believed the lie? Prophet or Son of God? Or should I say False Prophet or Son of God?
*****************
(Psa 37:18-19 KJV) “The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.”
A wonderful promise the Lord gives to us for a second time in this psalm; “and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. The Lord knows us and loves us and will protect us whether we are taken captive or die by the sword or are those who are alive and remain until His coming. He knows all of it.
****************
(Psa 37:20-21 KJV) “But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away. The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous showeth mercy, and giveth.”
What I picture here is that when the times of hardship come upon us the wicked shall horde their food and steal and loot from others. While those who love the Lord will share what they have with their neighbors and the Lord will keep the flower sacks full. The Lord has on numerous times shown to us that He can and does supply our needs. Do we have enough faith to invite the neighbors over for dinner when we only have enough for our own family? Haven’t you ever heard of the times that the Lord would not let the bowls go empty.
********************
(Psa 37:22-27 KJV) “ For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed. Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.”
The most gracious Lord is telling us that we indeed will inherit the earth. Notice once again that His seed, us, will never beg bread for He says we are blessed. Take His warning and depart from evil or you shall indeed hear the gnashing of teeth.
*******************
(Psa 37:28-29 KJV) “For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.”
Forsaketh not His saints can mean more than not allowing any persecution. If you have never been persecuted for His name sake then you will not understand what I mean by what I shall say. I am not talking here of False persecution of those who go out looking for persecution by their judgemental teachings. I am referring to those who have family that will not talk to them of religion, the cutting off of neighbors and friends. This will increase the closer the calamities come. What I mean, in our Lord not forsaking us is simply this; He gives us all the strength we need to go through what ever He has allowed to happen to us.
(Psa 37:30-33 KJV) “The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.”
The righteous know what the truth is and will share with all what our Lord commands of us. They will not fear reprisal or being hated or mistreated for they will stand upright and hold the standard up for all to see of the Lord’s promises and judgments.
****************
(Psa 37:34-37 KJV) “Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree. Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found. Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.”
One World Government, One World Religion, will this be fact or fiction? The green bay tree is spreading itself now all over the world. Christian persecution around the world is fact not fiction. When it comes to your own country will you believe then or pray now.
****************
(Psa 37:38-40 KJV) “But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off. But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.”
Only our Lord Jesus knows the beginning from the end. He promises us that He will be our strength in the time of trouble. He shall help us and deliver us. Can we trust Him? Can we rely on His strength and not our own? We need to know that we hear His voice and that we are walking by His Spirit for remember there are those who are alive and remain until His coming. Praise our Lord for He is coming soon.
