Following is an overlay of scriptures put together over the course of one year. These verses were found on multiple web pages or during my daily reading. PLEASE! Take the time to read all of these carefully, I put them in order of books in the Bible, except the first, for it was the most enlightening for me. Let the Holy Spirit teach you all things by His Word.
When I originally put this page up I was hoping that the scriptures would speak for themselves for all who read them. I was wrong. I have been asked if I am a pre-trib rapture believer. That question has me now sharing my testimony of how I learned, from the Word of God.
I had never heard of pre, post, whatever the labels people could come up with. I was always, like most, a pan believer, with my head in the sand. Whatever panned out, was alright by me. Until I got on the net and saw the battle that was going on with Christians.
I do not always remember to do this; but this time I prayed and fasted and asked, "Lord, please help me to understand your Word." That is when I started visiting sites; for at this point my knowledge base of His Word was sadly lacking. I needed to see what scriptures people were using for the rapture theory. Oh! like most I knew the typical bible stories, but I did not know His Word.
The sites all had their arguments up and I tried not to read them for I did not want to be influenced one way or another. I did peek from time to time and liked what the pre-trib was saying. But alas, this was not to be. For when I put all the scriptures down and some that did not even make sense to me, I could only see it one way. There is no secret rapture, for there is no rapture. The Lord Jesus comes only once and then we, which are alive and remain shall be with Him. I shall not argue this issue because you see for me, I got my answer. Each of us has to get our own answer. I only pray that I can be of some help in the quest.
The confirming sign came from a dear friend who was a pre-trib believer. He showed up with a book and said, "You have to read this." I just laughed when I saw the title, it was not on pre-trib. "I got my answer right here and held up my Bible", I said. Then I shared with him what I shared here and he smiled a knowing smile. For I shared everything he had just read in someone's else's book. He is not a pre-trib believer any longer. And if you are, that is OK. For this is one time I wouldn't mind being wrong. My only advice is don't start packing your armor just yet. Now before you start flooding my email, the Wrath of God, we shall not endure. Because the Coming of the Lord is first and then His Wrath follows right on His heels. I shall be glad to give you all the scriptures on The Day of The Lord. For it is separate, completed by Our Lord. Who in that day shall be King of Kings.
(2 Thes 2:1-4 KJV) " Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God."
The above scripture at least puts the secret rapture at mid-point in the tribulation. If you do not see that then it means you do not know the scriptures of when the son of perdition is revealed. But wait, it gets pushed even farther back as we go on.
(Dan 7:21-22 KJV) "I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom."
I never understood why the above scripture was used on a pre-trib page; for it is telling of Christians being persecuted. The pre-trib tells us, "Oh they are talking about the Jews. If it is always, only for the Jews or just about the Jews, then what part of the Bible is for me?
Daniel 12:1- "And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time; and at that time thy people shall be delivered, everyone that shall be found written in the book."
Let's look at verse 1 before I go on to two. This verse is usually used alone and so it makes for a good pre-trib one. The problem is that they do not go onto the next verse.
Daniel 12:2 "And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt."
Scroll down to 1Thes.4:13-18 and see how the Lord comes
and those who are asleep precede those of us who are alive.
(Joel 2:30-32 KJV) "And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call."
(Matt 24:20-22 KJV) "But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened."
(Matt 24:29-31 KJV) "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." Also Mark 13:24-27 and Luke 21:25-28 tell the same account. I love Luke's ending: "
"And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."
There is nothing secret about this, just a wonderful knowing, for we shall indeed lift up our heads and Praise the Lord, for we will be counted as one of His.
(John 6:39-40 KJV) "And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day." John 6:44 also talks of raising up on the last day as well as: John 11:23-23 "shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day."
(John 14:2-3 KJV) "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."
(Acts 1:10-11 KJV) "And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven."
(1 Cor 15:51-52 KJV) "Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
Oh, to hear that last trumpet sound, it will mean that we shall be with our Lord.
(1 Thes 4:13-18 KJV) " But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words."
(1 Thes 5:9-10 KJV) "For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him."
Read Isaiah 13:9-13 it tells of the Day of the Lord and the day of His burning anger. For us the Vials are the Wrath of God.
We need to know our Lord's voice, for he will protect those who seek Him. Remember some will be alive and remain. Some will go into captivity. There has never been any promises of not being persecuted, for He tells us that we will be persecuted for His name sake.
(2 Thes 2:8-12 KJV) "And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
(Rev 1:7 KJV) " Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen"
(Rev 3:10-12 KJV) "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name."
(Rev 3:20-21 KJV) "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne."
Read Mulraine's "The Door" and see how easy it is to open that door, and let Jesus reveal His truth personally to you.
(Rev 6:9-11 KJV) "And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled."
(Rev 7:9 KJV) "After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb."
(Rev 7:13 KJV) " And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."
(Rev 20:4 KJV) " And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."
