Readings and Study on Shavuot

The Book of Ruth is read in synagogue on the second day of Shavuot. This site has a discussion about Ruth, why it is read on Shavuot, and the major characters in the story.
The Ten Commandments. Tradition tells us that the Torah, often symbolized by the Ten Commandments, was given to us on Shavuot. At this site, two scholars discuss the Ten Commandments and their meaning in modern life.
