many soldiers died defending our country. The name means in English, Place of Martyrs. |

main mosque in Algiers where Muslims go to pray. In English, the name means The Grand
Mosque. |

| Maquam El Chahid In English
means the monument of the soldier. This is a monument which was built to honor the
soldiers who died defending our country against the French, which also houses a great
