Husband's NotesLawrence County News Feb 6 1941 Retired Farmer Dead: Jesse J. Warren, 85, retired Christy Town Farmer, died at his home at 906 Jefferson street, Monday, evening, following an illness of several weeks. Mr. Warren moved to Lawrenceville from Sumner early last fall. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Enola Warren, and six sons. The sons are George, living at home; R.M. Warren, of Sterling Kansas; W.C. Warren, of Wichita Kansas; O.F. Warren, of Bridgeport; and M.J. Warren of Shoals Indiana. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Sumner Methodist church with Rev. T.A. Shaffer in charge. Burial was in the Sumner Cemetary.
Wife's NotesLawrence County News Aug 9 1945 Mrs. Jesse Warren Dies at Shoals Indiana Mrs. Enola Elizabeth Warren, widow of Jesse Warren, died at the home of her son, Marshall Warren, in Shoals Indiana Monday afternoon. She had been in ill health for more than a year. Mrs. Warren was born in Sumner on Feb 2, 1856, making her age 89 years, five months, and four days at her death. She was married to Jesse Warren who preceded her in death four years ago. They spent all their married life in Sumner and vicinity. Following the death of her husband Mrs. Warren made her home in Lawrenceville for a time, afterwards going to Shoals to reside with her son. She is survived by six sons, 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The sons are George W. and Otto F. Warren of Lawrenceville, O.M. Warren of East St. Louis, R.M. Warren of Sterling, Kansas; Merrill C. Warren of Wichita, Kansas, and Marshall Warren at whose home she died. Funeral services will be held in the Christian church at Sumner, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. C.L. Doty in charge. Burial will be in the Sumner cemetary.
Notes for Child: Oris M. WarrenOris can be remembered as a small man in stature. One thing that can be also remembered is the fact that he had a metal plate in his head as a result of some injury. John Warren Sr. presently has a Waterbury clock that hangs on his wall that once belonged to Oris. Oris lived in East St. Louis in 1945 in Lawrenceville in 1941.
