Fire Academy Schedule of Classes
The Cave City Fire Depatment(CCFD)
has 5 certified training officers and four of those are adjunct instructors
for the Arknasas Fire Academy. We have regular training sessions on the
first and third Monday of each month, and an officers meeting quarterly.
These sessions are normally 3 hours in length and are all fire suppression
related.
Special meetings are held perodically
for specialized personnel (ie. rescue, medical) these classes usually are
weekend classes lasting about 4 hours.
Throughout the year several extra
classes are offered in house and also at other sites provided by the Arkansas
Fire Academy. These class are attended by a large majority of our members.
Training Requirments
All CCFD Members:
12 Hr Intro to fire protection (all members within
1st year)
12 hr Protective Equipment/SCBA(all members within
1st year)
4 hr Wildland Firefighting(all members within
1st year)
Interior Attack Personnel:
12 Hr Intro to fire protection (all members within
1st year)
12 hr Protective Equipment/SCBA(all members within
1st year)
4 hr Wildland Firefighting(all members within
1st year)
16 hr Structure Firefighting class provided by
th Arkansas Fire Academy
4 hr Ventilation class provided by our instructors
with our equipment
Recomendation by the Training Officer and Chief
to the department.

Basic
