But I would not have you to be ignorant, bretren, concerning them which
are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
For if we beleive that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also
which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we whcih are alive
and reamain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them whcih are alseep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of
the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caight up togehter with them in the clouds,
to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
I Thess. 4:13-18
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall
sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put
on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written,
Death is swallowed up in victory.
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy vistory?
The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
I Corinthians 15:51-57
Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same
Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like
manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
Acts 1:11
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing
of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;
Titus 2:13
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last
days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers
fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
But, beloved,be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with
the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is
longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish,
but that all should come to repentance.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the ngiht; in the which the heavens
shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat,
the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons
ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens
being on fire shall be dissloved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Nevertheless we, according to this promise, look for new heavens
and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
II Peter 3:3, 4, 8-13
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be:
but we know that, when he sahll appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
I John 3:2-3
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars;
and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which
are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
And then sha;; they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and
lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
Luke 21:25-28
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the deciples came unto him privately,
sayings, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the
sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
And Jesus anwsered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled:
for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
All these things are beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to
be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
And then shall many be offended, ans shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a
witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Matthew 24: 3-14
For as the lightning cometh out of the east, ans shineth even
unto the west; also the coming of the Son of man be.
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened,
and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall
from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then sahll all
the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming
in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall
gather together his elect from one end of the heaven to the other.
Matthew 24:27, 29-31
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the
angels of heaven, but my Father only.
But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking,
marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark.
And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away;
so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
But know this, that if the good man of the house had known in what
watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would
not have suffered his house to be broken up.
Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as
ye think not the Son of man cometh.
Matthew 24:36-44
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of thier own selves, covetous, boasters,
proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers,
incontinent, despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
II Timothy 3:1-5
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall
depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Speaking lies in hypocrisy, having thier conscience seared with a hot iron;
Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created
to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
I Timothy 4:1-3
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge
the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove,
rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their
own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned into fables.
But watch thou in all things, endure aaflictions, do the work of an
evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, whicch the
Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and no to
me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing>
II Timothy 4:1-8
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
Matthew 24:34
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I
would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again,
and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
John 14:1-4
