5. John HERB was born in 1759 or 1766 in Savannah , Chatham County, Ga.. He died on Dec 31 1804 in Savannah, Chatham County, Ga.. He died of hectic fever. He was buried in Colonial Cemetery Sec B112. He received land in the 1805 lottery Lot 221-24-3. He was a Patriot who signed the Georgia Declaration of Independence and served as a soldier in Captain Davis' Company of the Georgia Militia. After the revolution, he was a blacksmith in Savannah.

He was married to Ann Catherine SEEBLEY on Sep 13 1787. Ann Catherine SEEBLEY was born in Feb 1764. She died on Oct 12 1823. She was 59 yr. 10 mo. widow of John Herb. She was buried in Colonial Cemetery Section A. John HERB and Ann Catherine SEEBLEY had the following children:

16 ii. George A. HERB was born on Mar 13 1794. He died on Oct 25 1812. He was 18 yr. 7 mo. 12 days. He was buried in Colonial Cemetery Sec. B111. He was the son of the late John Herb.
