14. STEPHEN L. KENNEDY
was born on Feb 11 1797 in Columbia County, Georgia. He signed a will on
Sep 30 1872 in Statesboro, Bulloch, Ga.. He died on May 4 1874 in Statesboro,
Bulloch, Ga.. He was buried in Elam Church Cemetery six miles south of Statesboro,
Georgia, in Bulloch County. He and his Family of Tattnall County Georgia moved
to Bulloch County in 1864.
This is the will of Stephen Kennedy.
State of Georgia, Bulloch County :
In the name of God, Amen:
I,Stephen Kennedy, of said State and County, being of advanced age,
but of sound and disposing mind, and memory,and , knowing that I must
shortley depart this life deem it right and proper that I should make such
disposition of the property with which a kind providence has blessed me as
the circumstances of my family in my opinion render necessary. I therefore
make by me:
First, I desire to be burried in a decent and christian like manner,
my body I resign to its mother earth my soul I hope will return to God who
gave it:
I humbly trust in the mercy of his son Jesus Christ.
Secondly, I desire all my first debts paid without delay as I am Un-
willing my creditors should be delayed in their rights.
Thirdly, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Macey A. Kennedy for
and during her natrual life to use as she sees fit and with privilege to
expend such amounts as she thinks necessary for her benefit and interest,
all my real Estate and all my personal Estate of whatever description, ex-
cep the one half of my stock of cattle, and at her death the property so
given to my wife I give and bequeath to my son, Elisha B. Kennedy
Fourthly, I will and desire that the half of my stock of cattle (ex-
cepted in item third) shallbe sold and the proceeds equally divided among
the children by my first msrriage.
Fifthly, I hereby constitute and appoint my beloved wife, Macy A.
Kennedy and Silas E. BowenExecutrix and Executor of this my last
will and Testament and it shall not be necesary for them to make any
inventory or return to the Ordinery Court.

HOLLAND was born in 1798 in Washington County Ga.. She died on Dec 16 1844
in Tattnall County. She was buried in Elam Church Cemetery six miles south of
Statesboro, Georgia, in Bulloch County. Mary Holland is the daughter of Henry
and Sarah Clay Holland. STEPHEN L. KENNEDY and MARY HOLLAND had the following
