El Chark Troupe
"Sayedati El Gamila"
(My Fair Lady).
was a great success both in Montreal and Toronto!!!
The
El Chark troupe has
been presenting egyptian comedy plays for the past 15 years in Montreal
and Toronto. It is composed of amateurs who perform with excellence.
This year, on the occasion of the troupe's 15th anniversary, we presented the famous play
"Sayedati El Gamila"
(My Fair Lady).
The shows took place
in Toronto on May 10, 1997,
then in Montreal on May 17,1997.
As some recall this play was first
presented by the great comedians
Fouad
el Mohandess and Shweekar.
I, Waguih Tannous,did the role of Hassan
which was done byHassan Mostafa.
The role of Kamal (El Mohandess)
was done by Atef Raphael, who is also our director. Also played this year:Elie Dommar, Emad Raphael, Josephine Bagdian, Naguib Hanna,
Farid Badra, Youssef Assaf, Nabil Ghali, Farid Dommar, Kaddis Sidaros, Mona Sabbagh, Lydia Nammour, Violette Shenouda and the young girls "El Gueel el Guedeed": Heidi Aboul Dahab,
Randa Talisse, Joelle Mahilian and a number of the troupe members
I joined the
troupe seven years ago. My first play was
"El Eyal Kebret"
(The Kids Have Grown Up).
I also played in
"Enha hakkan aaela mohtarama".
(It is really a respected family)
