1805 Thomas Oxley born in Dublin, took degree in medicine at Marischal College, Aberdeen.
1825 Joined Penang Establishment on 15 April
1830 Appointed Assistant Surgeon to Residency, 13th February.
Transferred to Singapore vice Dr Sim, deceased, October.
1833 Married Lucy Caroline [surname possibly Hayes] according to India Office pensions records on 11 June 1833. Her name mentioned on records of children’s baptisms in India Office Ecclesiastical Returns.
1838 Transferred to Malacca (under protest).
1841 Returned to Singapore, 12th October.
1842 Appointed Sheriff for the three Settlements, September.
1844 Appointed Senior Surgeon, Straits Settlements, 17th January.
1845 Thomas' fourth daughter, Elleanor Amelia, dies 1st November 1845 in Singapore, aged 3 years and 4 months.
1847 Promoted to rank of Surgeon, 23rd February.
1850 Began to dispose of land, selling in lots
1857 Retired to England, aged 52, 23rd February.
1861 Lucy Caroline died in England.
1886 Thomas Oxley died in March.
