   Remembering
God's Children

    When God
calls little children to dwell with him above, we mortal always question the wisdom of his
    love.
*No heartache compares with the death of just one small child, who does so much to make
this world seem wonderful and mild. Perhaps God tires of always calling the aged to His
fold, and so He picks a rosebud before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them and takes but a few, to make the land of Heaven more
beautiful to view. Believing this is difficult, still somehow we must try. The saddest
word that mankind knows will always be "goodbye".
And so when little ones depart, we who are left behind, must realize how much God loves
little children, for angles are hard to find.

We're thinking of
you today.  Far away from our antiseptic smells,
bright lights, beeps, and cafeteria food.
You are learning to cope with an emptiness.
Which can only be filled with love.
Filled with love in memories and shared tears,
well-worn goofy jokes and laughter, warm bear hugs,

and good friends remembered courage and delighted wonder.

And filled with the strength and love of one who understands

the awful "whys", as well as the loss of a child.

May the emptiness be filled with peace,
For we fought the good fight together.
And may joy and laughter return to your hearts.
