Once in a little farming town in Nebraska there lived two girls,Emma and Amy. Emma had brown hair and hazel eyes, while Amy had blond hair and blue eyes.
One day Emma and Amy were riding there horses buttercup and lightning in a field when all of a sudden Amy said,"Emma, I need to tell you something." "What?" Emma replied. " I'm moving to my grandpa's farm once winter starts." Amy said. Emma's mouth fell open. " Why didn't you tell me before?" Emma said shocked. " I thought you would get mad. And I don't want to go." Amy said. Emma replied, "I'm sure you'll have a good time. I remember when I went to your grandpa's farm last summer. I can still feel the crisp cool air on my face. I can even remember the long ride there. All the pine trees made it smell so good! I'm sure it will be an adventure." Then Amy said," I guess your right. It was fun swimming in the lake and going hunting with my dad." " That's the spirit! I'll come and visit you as often as possible." said Emma.
Four weeks later the two families had a good-bye party for Amy. That night Amy and her grandpa left.
The next morning instead of Emma's mother waking Emma up at seven o'clock for school she let her sleep in till nine-thirty. Emma knew something was wrong. When Emma went down the steps everything seemed different. There was know good aroma of bacon & eggs in the air and her mother wasn't running around trying to get her ready for school. Now Emma was certain something was wrong. When she finally got to the bottom of the steps she saw her mother talking on the phone. She looked like she was about to cry. When Emma's mother saw Emma she said," I have to go, I'm sorry about what happened." After Emma's mother finally hung up the phone she said, "Emma come here and sit on my lap. I need to talk to you about Amy ." As Emma walked over slowly she started to think about what might have happened. She thought maby Amy sick and wants me to visit her. Then she sat down on her mothers lap and asked if Amy was sick. Emma's mother said, " I was just talking to Amy's mother and they said that last night around three o'clock they got a call from the hospital." Then Emma started crying. "Amy's gone. She died last night in a car crash when she was going to her grandfather's house." Then Emma jumped up and ran to her room as fast as she could, shut the door, and jumped into her bed. She couldn't belive it. Her friend had died in a car crash and it was all her fault. If she hadn't told Amy to go, none of this would have ever happened. Emma kept on saying to herself it was all her fault and that she would never forgive herself for it. Emma stayed in her bed the rest of the week. She even ate her meal's in her bed alone. She finally got out one week later only to get a drink and go back to bed.
