Welcome to the Christmas Recipe Pages! I'm sure you might be curious as to why it is called "The Water Cooler Gang's Christmas Recipe Book". Well, when I made these pages, I belonged to a really great forum on Sympatico, named Around The Water Cooler, and I asked my friends there to contribute recipes to this site. Unfortunately, the Sympatico Forums no longer exist, but I hope to keep adding to these recipes, with the help of other friends I have met on the Net. And I suppose one day, I will change the banner to read Net Friends' Recipes, or something. Until then, Enjoy!

We inch up to Christmas - prepare, count days, keep secrets, watch for the signs. A red evening sky, every fleecy cloud on fire for a last few minutes before the winter night falls, still brings a shout, "Look! Christmas is coming! The angels are baking!"

Submitted by Kathaleen
1 bag looped pretzels, Assorted hard candies, Curling ribbon for hanging
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place pretzels on cookie sheet covered with aluminum foil. Place hard candy in Baggies and crush with hammer into coarse pieces. Fill the bottom 2 loops of each pretzel with candy pieces. Bake until candy is melted, about 5 minutres. Remove from oven and cool on wire rack.
When candy is cool, peel carefully from alumium foil and break off and candy that has leaked out of the loops. Thread a piece of ribbon through the top loop of the pretzel and hang ornaments on the tree.
