Dear God,
So far today, I've done alright.
I haven't gossiped and I haven't lost my temper.
I haven't been grumpy, nasty, or selfish.
But in a few minutes, God, I'm going to get out of bed...
And that is when I am going to need a lot of help.
Amen

HEAVEN'S GROCERY STORE

I was walking down life's highway a long time ago. One day
I saw a sign that read `Heaven's Grocery Store'.

As I got a little closer, the door came wide open, And when
I came to myself, I was standing inside.

I saw a host of angels. They were standing everywhere. One
handed me a basket and said, "My child, shop with care."
Everything a Christian needed was in the Grocery Store. And
if you couldn't carry them, you could come back for more.

First I got some PATIENCE. LOVE was in the same row. Further
down was UNDERSTANDING, you need that wherever you go.

I got a box of WISDOM, a bag or two of FAITH. I couldn't miss
the Holy Ghost, for He was all over the place. I stopped to get
some STRENGTH and COURAGE to help me win the race And though
my basket was getting full, I remembered to get some GRACE.

I didn't forget SALVATION, for salvation, that was free. So,
I tried to get enough of that to save both you and me. Then I
started up the counter to pay the grocery bill, for I thought
I had everything to do my Master's will.

As I went up the aisle, I saw PRAYER and I just had to put that
in, For I knew when I stepped outside, I would run into SIN.
PEACE and JOY were plentiful, they were on the last shelf.
SONG and PRAISES were hanging near so I just helped myself.

Then I said to the Angel, "Now how much do I owe?"

He just smiled and said, "Just take them everywhere you go!"

Again I smiled at him and said, "How much do I really owe?"

The Angel smiled again and said, "My child, Jesus paid your bill a long time ago."

For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.

The ingredients in this cake mix have been used since the time before Christ.

3 1/2 c. (sifted all purpose flour)
3 tsp. (baking power)
1/4 tsp. (salt)
1 1/2 tsp. (ground cinnamon)
1/2 tsp. (ground nutmeg)
1/2 tsp. (cloves)
1 tsp. (ground allspice)
1 c. (butter)
3 eggs
2 c. (brown sugar)
2 tbsp. (honey)
1 pkg. (pitted dates) 8 oz.
2 c. (raisins)
1 c. (chopped walnuts)
1 c. (milk)

Mix all dry ingredients together; set aside.
Mix butter, sugar, honey and eggs together.
Add milk and blend together with dry ingredients.
Add dates, raisins and walnuts, mix well.

Grease and flour a 10 X 14 inch angel cake tube pan. Preheat oven 325
Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes
