Henry OXNER

1807. Will of Henry Oxner, Yoeman, La Have, Dated. 5 March 1806, 
Probated 8 Aug. 1807. 
   "I Commend My Soul into the hands of Almighty God who gaveth me, 
and my Body to the Earth from whencieth it came, to be Buried in a
decent Christian Like manner, and for my Worldly Estate wherewith it
has pleased God to Bless Me, after paying all my Lawful Debts and 
Funeral Expenses, I Dispose of as follows:, to Three Grandsons, 
£ 2 Currency. 
   All the Remainder of my said Personal Estate to be Divided among
my Children, [excepting my daughters, Margaret Diel and Christiana Knock].
Margaret Diel who is to receive £ 5 less than the others and Christina
Knock who is to receive £ 15 more than any of the rest, Share and Share
alike.
   John Nicholas is Appointed Executor,
   Wit. Adam Pheller, Thomas Smith and Martin Gatz, Heinrick made his Mark"

pay John Zwicker  £ 9.

Johannes REHFUS

1798. Will of Johannes Rehfus, Book 1 page 151, Dated 12 May 1786,
Probated 23 July 1798, Executors Hendrick Ernst and sons, Frederick and
John Jr.; witnesses Jacob Krass, Johannes Broom and Jacob Shenkel.
   First to wife, Catherina (Rab), during her Natural Life, all My
Real and Personal Estate which I die possessed of, to use the Same for her
Benefit and Maintainance.
   After wife's decease to go to sons, Frederick, Johannes, Jacob, Philip,
Andreas and their Heirs in Equal Portions, to be Divided between 
themselves so as they can agree together.
   Daughters Salome, wife to Ferdinard Hurbly [Hubley] and Barbara, wife to
Ulrich Bollivar or heirs the Sum of £ 25 each by sons in one year after his wife's decease.

1844. Will of Eberhard Rafuse, New Dublin, Book 3 page 13, Reel 832.
Dated 28 Dec. 1843, Probated 22 Jan.1844, Witnesses Wm. Mc Keane, Calvin 
Langille and Robert Lord.  Executors, son Peter and Robert Lord. 
   1]. I Give and devise unto my 5 sons or their heirs, Peter, Martin,
Frederick, Paulus and Arthur, the sum of £9 Current money each and every
one.
   2]. It is my wish to give and make over to Sophia Sertie, wife of 
Leonard, the sum of £5 currency.
   3]. The remainder part of my money to be equally divided between 
my 8 children, Peter, Martin, Frederick, Paulus, Arthur, Barbary Zwicker,
and Mary Leg and Sophia Hubley to be equally divided between them, Share
and Share Alike, after my Funeral Charges are paid and the remainder of
my movables to Remain where I may decease. 
   Final settlement, Vol. 1 Decree Book page 45 on 13 August 1845 
shows £ 269, 17 shill. 6 pence after all Legacies and Expenses paid.

Edward RODENHIZER Sr. & Jr.

This day the last will and testament of Edward Rodenhizer, late of Upper 
LeHave in the County of Lunenburg, farmer, deceased, was exhibited for
registry and application was made by Edward Rodenhizer Jr, sole executor
named in said will for probate thereon as by his petition on file will
more fully appear and on this day probate was granted to the said
executor. He being duly sworn into office.  Inventory filed Jan 28, 1907

Will of Edward Rodenhizer Sr.

In the name of God, Amen, I, Edward Rodenhizer,Sr., of Upper LeHave in 
the County of Lunenburg, farmer, being of sound and disposing mind and
memory but knowing the uncertainty of this mortal do make publish and
declare this my last will and testament in the manner following:
that is to say:

First: My son Isaac, also my daughter Sarah wife of Ephrian Rodenhizer 
and Adelaide wife of Nathaniel Smith. They have received their portion
of my estate during my lifetime.

Secondly: I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Lucy, all my household 
affects: also to occupy one room and a bedroom, I will that out of my 
estate my son Edward shall maintain in a suitable and proper manner
according to his station in life, my beloved wife: providing her with
suitable and comfortable _____ and food, medical attendance if needed
at his own expense.

Thirdly: I give devise and bequeath unto my son Abraham the one-
fourth part of a mill site and mill yard situated on the outside of 
Rodenhizer's Lake so called with the privilege thereto belonging.

Fourthly: I give devise and bequeath unto my three grandsons, Alfred, 
_____ and Isaac, heirs of the late Bennett Rodenhizer desired a 
certain piece of parcel of land being half of the pine lot so called
bounded on the east by lands of the late Senator Kaulbach on the west,
by lands of Uriah Naugler, also a certain triangular piece of land
adjoining lands of Senator Kaulbach thense running westerly until it
meets Jacob Rodenhizer's gate, which the above named heirs of the within
named Bennett Rodenhizer as present, occupy.

Fifthly: I give devise and bequeath unto the legitimate sons of my son 
Jacob Rodenhizer the other half of the pine lot within described
which the said Jacob Rodenhizer at present occupies______ a portion of
the triangle on which the said Jacob Rodenhizer now resides.

Sixthly: I give devise and bequeath unto Roney Rodenhizer, wife of my
son Joseph Rodenhizer, the southern half of a certain lot by land
situated at Upper LaHave known as Weagles Lot- bounded on the south by
lands of Weagles. On the east by Cook's lot on the north by lands of
Henry ________ and Adam Burns, on the west by the La Have River after
the decease of the within named Roney Rodenhizer, Moyle Rodenhizer,
son of Joseph and Roney Rodenhizer is to inherit the above described
premises.

Seventhly: I give devise and bequeath unto my son Edward his heirs and 
assigns all the residue of my real and personal estate not herein before
devised or bequeathed: a certain piece of parcel of land situated at
pine grove bounded and described as follows on the north my lands of
Senator Kaulbach on the east by Nauglers road on the south by lands of
James Rodenhizer. on the west by lands of James Mader containing 70
acres more or less. also a portion of the triangular lot. also the
northern half of the Weagle lot adjoining lands of Henry Newcomb and  
Adam Burns also my right title and interest in the Cook's lot so called
also a certain piece of land being par of lot number 1 and 2 situated
near the Baptist Church at Summerside. Also one fourth of the saw mill,
and mill yard situated at Hirtle's Brook, so called. Also the homestead
on which Isacc ?? resides situated at Summerside containing 12 acres
more or less. Also all my personal property and effects which is not
herein bequested or set apart. Also my son Edward is to pay after my
decease the sum of twenty dollars yearly to my beloved wife, Lucy.

Eightly: I give and bequeath to my daughter Abigail, wife of Charles 
Burns, the sum of fifty dollars to be paid by my son Edward twelve
months after my decease.

Lastly: I do hereby nominate and appoint my said son Edward executor of
this my last will and testament to take care and see the same performed
according to my true intend and meaning to let me have a decent burial.

In ________ whereby I have _________     ____________ and affix my hand
and seal this 7 of March in the year 1901. The above instrument was at
the date here signed, published and declared said by Edward Rodenhizer
as and for his last will and testament in presense of us who at his
request and in presence of each other have subscribed our names as
witnesses there to 
   signed by Josiah Rudolf, Aaron Crouse, Hibbert Hirtle
   Lunenburg December 8 1906

This day foregoing last will and testament of Edward Rodenhizer was 
duly proved on the oath of Aaron Crouse one of the subscribing 
witnesses to said will as by his affadavit on file to said will
annexed will more fully appear and on this day probate was granted
to the executor named in said will. He being duly sworn into office.

Lunenburg, Nova Scotia October 8, 1938

This day the last will and testament of Edward Rodenhiser, late of 
Dayspring, in the county of Lunenburg, deceased was exhibited for 
probate and registry and application was made by Basil Rodenhizer
and Boyd Shurman Rodenhizer, of Dayspring in said county, executors
named in said will, for probate thereof as by their petition on file
will more fully appear, and on this day, probate was granted to
executors named in said will, they being duly sworn into office.

Inventory filed October 17, 1938  $2,220.00

1800. Will of Ludwig Schner, Dated 7 Sept. 1792, Probated 30 April 1800
Lun. Yoeman,  Sole Executor son Peter Schner, wit. Caspar Jung, George 
Teuthoff and Adolph Newman. 
   2 nd. page,  son Peter Schner and his Heirs all my Real and Personal 
Estate whatsoever I Die possessed of.
   I Give and Bequeath unto my 2 daughters, Catharina and Barbara, or
their Heirs, each the sum of £ 5 currency to be paid unto them by my
son Peter Schner.

J. Peter SCHNEAR

1808.  Will of J. Peter Schnear, yoeman, in the township of
Lunenburg.
First, loving wife Catherine having a yearly sum of 6 pounds currency to be raised by sons John George and Casper Schnear.
Unto sons Urbannus and John Schnear the sum of 20 pounds currency each.
Unto sons Conrad and Jacob the sum of 26 pounds currency each.
Unto four daughters Catherine Barbara Mosher, Sophia Acker, Elizabeth Williams and Catherine Young the sum of 7 pounds currency each.
Two other daughters Mary Dorothy Schnear and Mary Gertudt Schnear the sum of 16 pounds currency and also when of age or the dau they are married to be paid from estate or aforementioned sons John George and Caspar.
I appoint my wife and good friend Leonard Yung as joint executors. Will dated 27 Jun 1807. Witnesses Casper Heckman, John Heckman and J. Philip Backman.
Amended 1 July 1807 as J. Peter's uncle, Michael Schnear, of Halifax bequethed to J. Peter the whole of his estate thereby J. Peter bequeths to loving wife Catherine the sum of 100 pounds currency and the remainder to children to be divided equally. Will Proved 12 Nov 1808.

Justin Shupe of Lunenburg, yeoman, will dated 10 May 1813.  Oath of
Philip Rudolf, John Zwicker and Caspar Heckman.  Probate to Matthias
Ernst and Casper Ernst, executors. 
Son John to receive 20 acres of land in Chester on Murderer's Point plus 300-acre lot in Lunenburg Second Division Letter C Number 15 being my father's, Reichard Shupe's, drawn lot unto son John Shupe and heirs, also 15 pounds currency.
Daughter Christina, wife to George Michael Smith - 15 pounds currency
Daughter Ann, wife to John Lennox - 35 pounds currency
Viz. to daughters Anna Mary Knickel, Barbara Kraus and Elizabeth Lord - 30 pounds currency each
Further, loving wife Catherina Magdelena Shupe - 20 pounds currency
Aforementioned son Henry Schup and heirs to reside on Second Peninsula land with Mother.

Johannes SEBURGER

Will of Johannes Seburger in town of Lunenburg, will dated 13 Dec 1777.
Burial to be at discretion of my beloved wife Susanna Elizabeth.
   First, I bequeth to Lutheran Church of Lunenburg 5 pounds currency 
to be paid in two years.  
   To wife, Susanna Elizabeth - 20 pounds currency plus 30-acre lot
at Rose Bay #10 adjoining Wolf’s land with two cows and one heifer.
Likewise 100 acres from my 300-acre lot next to Peter Arenburg at
Northwest Range.  I bequeth unto grandchildren John Frederick, son
of Peter Arenburg one yearling heifer or ox.
   To daughter Anna Maria - one cow big with calf and one calf
and 30-acre lot at Rose Bay #10 adjoining Wolf's Land out of the 
land to my beloved wife.
   To son Johannes - one cow and 1 calf.
   To wife Susanna Elizabeth the two 30-acre lots at Rose Bay #11 
and #12 and to my son Johannes the working of said lands with my ox,
etc.
   Rest of my estate, 200 acres (part of 300-acre lot above mentioned)
to four children Johannes, Anna Maria, Susanna Catherine and Catherine
Elizabeth to divide equally.
   Rest of estate to wife one-half and to children one-half.
   Wife not intended to live with son Johannes to be paid 20 pounds
currency on demand and as long as unmarried, 15 bushels of barley and
one fat sow every year.

Johannes SEABOYER Jr.

1823. Will of Johannes Seaboyer, Book 2. pg. 41, John Seaboyer, Rose Bay,
Dated 22 April 1823, Probated 26 May 1823, Executors 2 sons-in-law,
Peter Zinck and John Reesor. Witness Peter Zinck, Frederick Zinck and
John Heckman. 
   First, I Give and Bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth, wife to Peter
Zinck, the sum of £ 100 Currency, my said daughter having already 
received £ 50, making together £ 150.
   Second, I Give and Bequeath to my grandchildren, Jacob, Benjamin and
William Zinck, children of my daughter Catharina, wife to Leonard Zinck
the sum of £ 150 currency to be Equally Divided between Them.
   Third, I Give and Bequeath unto my daughter Sophia, wife to John Reesor,
the sum of £ 150 Currency.
   Fourth, I Give to each of my four following daughters, namely 
Magdalena Seaburger, [to John Ressor], Susannah Seaburger, [to Benjamin
Cook], Christiana Seaburger and Barbara Seaburger the Sum of £ 150 
Currency, a Bed, a Cow and a Calf to Be Paid and Delivered to them when
they are of age or when married which shall first happen.
   Fifth, I Give and Bequeath unto my son Martin Seaburger the Sum of 
£ 100 Currency.
   Sixth, I Give and Bequeath unto my son John Seaburgur, his Heirs and
Assigns my 30 Acre Lot of Land # 10 situate, lying and being in Rose Bay,
he to Allow out of the same to his brother Leonhard, so much land in the
rear of my barn as he has got from his 30 acre lot, hereby devised to him
the said Leonhard, also a Pair of Oxen, a Truck, 1/2 the Plow and 1/2 the
Harrow. He, my son Jacob, first pay the sum of £ 250 Currency to be Paid
towards the Legacies as within mentioned.
   Seventh, I Give and Bequeath to my son Leonhard Seaburgur, his Heirs
and Assigns my 30 Acre Lot 1/2 of an Acre], also a Pair of Oxen, a Truck,
1/2 the Plow,and 1/2 the Harrow, He, my son Leonhard first Paying the 
Sum of £ 250 Currency which is to be paid towards the legacies as within
mentioned.
   Eight, it is also that my aforesaid sons Jacob and Leonhard, allow each
other the Free Use of All Roads and Sundry Places on said 2- 30 acre lots,
and all which aforesaid legacies are to be raised and levied out of my
estate. It is also my will that no interest shall be paid or demanded from
any of my aforesaid children named, those which are indebted to me.
   Ninth, all the rest and remainder of my Personal Effects shall be sold 
at Public Auction three months after my decease, and the net proceeds 
thereof, together with any one surplus in cash or otherwise shall be 
Equally Divided amongst All my Children share and share alike.  Excepting
my wearing apparel which is equally to be divided amongst my 4 sons share
and share alike.
   Tenth, I also Give and Bequeath unto my youngest daughter, Barbara, 
My Bed which I use with the Sheets and every other Article belonging 
thereto.
   Lastly I Nominate and Appoint my two sons-in-law, Peter Zinck and
John Reesor, Executors of this my Last Will and Testament, hereby 
revoking all former wills by me made and confirming this only as,
and for my Last Will and Testament.  In witness whereof I have hereunto 
Set my Hand and Seal this 22 day of April 1823, in the Fourth Year of
his Majesty's Reign.

1809. Will of Philip Schmeltzer, Sr., Yoeman, # 130, Dated 29 May 1806,
Probated 27 March 1809. All his real estate, to loving wife Appolonia
(Graves, widow of Jacob), during her natural life, for the maintenance
of herself and my son Philip, and after her decease it shall go to my 
children as follows, viz.,to my son John, his heirs and assign forever,
the half of the 30-acre lot ...., (will continues but was not extracted)
