1841. Will of George Zwicker, Twsp. of Chester, Dated 27 Oct. 1841. Executors son Elisha and Peter Corkum, witnesses Daniel Dimock, Peter Zwicker and Jacob Eisenhaur. After my Funeral Expenses and Just Debts are paid. I give unto my beloved wife Hannah Zwicker (formerly the widow Hannah Melvin), 1/2 of the Homestead where I now live during her natural life; and all the Household Furniture for her use and benefits forever as an equivalent for her Right of Dower in my Real Estate, likewise 1 Cow and 4 Sheep. It is my will that my Executors hereafter named do, as soon as Convenient after my decease to Sell all my Land situate in Caanan, so called. Likewise to sell off the Stock and Farm Utensils not immediately wanted on the farm. I likewise Give and Bequeath unto my eldest son Elisha, £ 5 making £ 35 with what he has already received from me in Stock and Farming Utensils from off my farm in Caanan. I Likewise Give and Bequeath unto my 2nd son Francis, the remaining 1/2 of the Homestead with Stock and Farming Utensils not disposed of by my Executors and at the decease of his Mother to have the Whole of the Homestead, with this Provision, that he take care of Salmon ? Bushen, give him suitable boarding, clothes according to the engagement I have entered into with the said Salmon ? Bushen and make up what what deficiencies in the legacy hereafter named. I Give and Bequeath unto my 3 daughters each, that is Sophia, Esther and Sarah, the Sum of £ 10 to be paid as soon as convenient by my Executors. Should the Real and Personal Estate sold by my Executors not be Sufficient to pay the Girls Legacies after my creditors are satisfied, in that case they shall pay them £ 5 each and the other 1/2 they must get from Francis at the decease of their Mother or when he comes on possession of the whole of the Homestead. And should the Estate Sold by the Executors be more more than is Necessary to pay my Debts and Different Legacies, then in that case they shall pay the remaider unto my widow. Lastly I Make and Ordain my well beloved son Elisha and my trusty friend Peter Corkum, Executors to my Estate and to this my Last Will and Testament.
