My Quilts

This is my first quilt.I made the mistake of using and old bedspread for backing, to save money, but the bedspread was quilted so the hand quilting doesn't show up. The second quilt I made was this Celtic quilt It may look hard, but I loved doing it. The background is unbleached musilin, the bias tape is red with white designes and the background is white with red designs.

I made lots of baby quilts, this one I tried to take a picture of, but when I got it all layed out and wentup on the deck to take the picture, there was a big fuzzy cat in the middle. I would go down on the padio, remove the cat, and go back up to the deck. By that time Cadmen was back on the quilt Here are some more Baby Quilts.

Mom gave me a calendar one year that had a block on each month, I couldn't resist. In fact it was so much fun I made a second and then shams. For this Dresden Plate, I found the "plates" assembled at a rummage sale for a dollar. I applicaqued them on unbleached muslin and put the centers on.

Here is my most ambitious project yet. Our new granddaughter McKenna's baby quilt. Finished in time for her birth March 17, 2000.
Much to McKenna's chagrin, this is for her new sibling to be born on my birthday, March 14!!This is my most recent quilt. I finished it in July 2000
