Most of this home page started from the information that came from a family bible that my Grandpa purchased on July 23, 1949 for $24.75.
This book was about five inches thick and 11" wide X 16" tall.
This bible was given to my dad, Melvin Loise McDonald by my Grandma Rosie Lee Greear sometime after my Grandpa Leonard Bowie McDonald died. She held onto it for some time, I think to put all the information into it that she had, before she gave it to him.
The following information came from a letter from (someone ?) who said "Your grandparents Thomas Joseph Monroe Greear and Sarah Vashtie Burgoon-Greear and us childrens birth records as recorded in mamas and mine and Leonards and your kids birth records" and it said that the following information came from a their family bible and that they would also get the family bible.
Thomas Joseph Monroe Greear born April 7, 1869 and married Sarah Vashtie Burgoon Greear who was born December 26, 1870. And their children were:
John Elmer Greear born April 20, 1892
Roy Clinton Greear born April 18, 1895
Lillian Beatrice Greear born March 4, 1898
Eda Belle Greear born October 27, 1900
Rosie Lee Greear
Loise Clifton Greear
William Odus Greear
