History of Jonathan Thomas Greear

Note: (Thomas Jonathan Greear) Another possible spelling was found in one spot of my resources. Most likely is Jonathan Thomas Greear.

Grandfather Greear (Jonathan Thomas Greear) was born in Grant, Grayson County, Virginia on september 14, 1844 and came to Taxas around November 1858. He served in the Civil War from November 15, 1861 to the end of the war in 1865. Jonathan was a private. Served as a Teamster in co. K7th Texas.

Jonathan married Margaret Marie ( ) Burgoon in Cavalry, Des Moines Iowa. It looks like Margaret was born in Des Moine Iowa around 1845

Note: Greear County is now in Oklahoma, but was in Texas long ago.

Note: I had another finding of the spelling (Thomas Jonathan Greear) born in Grant Virginia in 1844
