Floyd Raymond McDonald served in the 2nd world war from the fall of 1942 until the war ended. He was stationed at North Island, California for Basic Training. Then moved to Mojave, California and worked in Post office and as a Cooks assistant. He then was stationed on the Island of (sp)nletha, in the South Sea Islands, where he was a cook and helped disarm Japs on the Island (sp)Japp. He remained in the Marine Air Core where he was honorably discharged.
