Yesterday's entry was not what I had originally intended to write. But, sometimes, these entries seem to wander and I have trouble getting them back to the original subject. Sometimes, I don't even want to try. Yesterday's entry may give a clue as to why I joined The Garden House and Ladies of the Heart. The main cause of The Garden House is to stop abuse and it is one of the causes that Ladies of the Heart is supporting. I will be putting up pages for both of these organizations shortly and this will be redunant in each of these pages. The internet was originally founded as a means of communicating and sharing information. Both are being true to that philosophy of imparting information. Brothers and Sisters Online is another organization that would like to be of use in this area.
I am wondering if I am ever going to get these entries posted. I couldn't get connected to upload last night's entry and I can't get into geocities this morning either. Both browsers keep telling me that the "connection has been reset by peer". I haven't a clue as to what that means. So, obviously, it's not MY peer. My peer wouldn't have a clue as to how to reset a connection.
It has been a fun week. Sunny managed to push the garage door opener and let himself out one morning. Fortunately, one of the kids heard it and Sunny had less than 5 minutes of freedom before being captured and re-incarcerated. Tabitha has been ignoring the food that's been left out for her and has taken to raiding the wastebasket to discover what's in there. The girls are supposed to take out the wastebaskets for emptying each night. But they wouldn't be able to keep Sunny in the garage and out of the house, so, that chore gets done when Sunny gets taken for a walk. If stuff gets added to the wastebasket after, well, it just has to stay there until the next walk. Sunny has been very busy in the garage. He managed to tear the garage door opener off the wall. The wire from the garage phone to the answering machine has been severed. I found the phone base, but not the phone. (At least the phone line is still intact--that's the line for our internet connection.) The kids thought it was funny that he managed to get out some record albums and that he peed on Dolly Parton's album. He's been tearing up a chair. Sunny ignored the dish of dog food that was set out for him. Instead, he tore a hole in the 40 lb. bag of food. (I'm glad it only had a third of a bag full.) He's ignored the dog food and instead has knocked over the container with the doggie treats. So, he's been eating a dog's junk food diet for the last few days. We keep telling ourselves--Only 10 more days, Only 10 more days. On school days, we sometimes have to pry the kids out of bed in the morning. They have a four day weekend this week. So, naturally the girls are awake and invading my bedroom before 7AM. My son is the smart one. He's the one sleeping past 9 this morning.
Well, I've got to finish a book before going to the library today. I also would like to try to upload this once more before leaving. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
