Friendship is like a flower,
you plant the seed when you say hello
and then you watch to see if the friendship grows.
As time passes and you get to know each other
roots take form and trust grows strong.
The stem grows strong and tall as time passes
and you share your life experiences with one another.
Before you know it a blossom appears
and a beautiful flower begins to show itself,
just as your friendship has become something beautiful.
Although the seasons change
and sometimes the flower disappears
the roots are still strong beneath the surface.
Just as freinds go about their lives
and sometimes you don't see them for awhile,
the roots of the friendship are still strong
and someday soon the flower will appear again.
