CARE GIVERS
Special People
There is something very special about caregivers.
They vary from family members to friends,
to outsiders, or just people who care.
While staying at the Hope Lodge in Cleveland,
Ohio, we met many of these people.
When we talk of "angels", we need to include
these caregivers, for the many reasons why they
do this.
One wonderful lady gave up her job, her home,
and her car, just to care for her brother.
another move accross the United States to
care for her brother.
Then there is this dear little lady, who knows
no one there, but comes just to visit and
make sure everyone is ok, and doesn't need anything.
Although the Hope Lodge is owned and operated by the
Americian Cancer Society, it still needs people
to watch over it, and care for the building
and grounds. All of these people give their time
for free.
These persons do not have to do this, as they all
hold regular jobs, but they are true caregivers.
We met people from all walks of life there, but soon
everyone became family. As new ones arrived they were greeted with a giant hug, and welcomed home.To us
that hug was from the heart, and was a joy
we will always remember.
If only this love and caring could be spread around,
as some of the dreaded diseases, this would be
one wonderful world to live in.
