  • Outlet plugs
  • Wooden Cut outs (larger than the plugs)
  • Wooden Cut outs (smaller sizes)
  • Hot Glue (adult supervision)
  • Markers/Paint/Glitter

Let the kids color the wooden cut outs with markers or paint. They can glue the smaller ones onto the bigger one. Glue the bigger one onto the outlett plug. This is a neat little mother's day gift and something different. The wooden cut outs come in all shapes and sizes in most craft stores.

Planters

  • veggie cans/coffe cans-cleaned and label removed
  • Tissue Paper
  • Modge Podge™

Tear tissue paper into pieces. Cover can with a thin layer of Modge Podge (puzzle glue could work). Place tissue paper onto the can, use more glue if need to overlap the pieces of tissue paper. After can is covered let dry, then cover again with Modge Podge to finish. Once dry fill with dirt and plant seeds.

  • crayons (shaved or grated)
  • warm iron
  • Pipe Cleaners (I used green)
  • Buttons
  • Hot Glue Gun

Give each child a piece of wax paper, they will need another piece the same size later. Sprinkle crayon shavings onto wax paper, cover with 2nd sheet of wax paper. With a warm iron, slowly iron over top of wax paper. Melting a smearing the crayon shavings. Once cooled, cut out a flower shape. Poke the piper cleaner through center of flower, fold over. Using a hot glue gun, glue a button over the center, covering the pipe cleaner. Bend ends to shape into leaves.

  • Used, dried coffee grounds
  • glue
