Outlet Covers
Let the kids color the wooden cut outs with markers or paint. They can glue the smaller ones onto the bigger one. Glue the bigger one onto the outlett plug. This is a neat little mother's day gift and something different. The wooden cut outs come in all shapes and sizes in most craft stores. |
Planters
Tear tissue paper into pieces. Cover can with a thin layer of Modge Podge (puzzle glue could work). Place tissue paper onto the can, use more glue if need to overlap the pieces of tissue paper. After can is covered let dry, then cover again with Modge Podge to finish. Once dry fill with dirt and plant seeds. Could also be used as holders for pencils, paintbrushes, scissors, toothbrushes, plasticware, and more! |
Flowers
Give each child a piece of wax paper, they will need another piece the same size later. Sprinkle crayon shavings onto wax paper, cover with 2nd sheet of wax paper. With a warm iron, slowly iron over top of wax paper. Melting a smearing the crayon shavings. Once cooled, cut out a flower shape. Poke the piper cleaner through center of flower, fold over. Using a hot glue gun, glue a button over the center, covering the pipe cleaner. Bend ends to shape into leaves. |
Furry Bears
Cover bear, except a spot for face, with glue. Sprinkle on the coffee grounds and let dry. Make eyes, nose, and mouth and you are finished! |
Turkeys
For Feathers-Trace childrens hands on several different colors of construction paper and then cut out. For Body-Cut an oval or any shape from brown construction paper. Glue hands, making them fan out, to one side of body. Add eyes, a beak, and that little red thing to top of body on opposite side you glued the hands too. |
