Past & Upcoming Meetings

Laurie kicked off the summer months with bunco at her house in June. The lucky winners went home with prizes from Laurie's job as a travel specialist. Perfect timing since we'll all be traveling this summer. Check out the Win Statistics to see who won those great prizes.
Cindy subbed for Jane, who's been on vacation for two months! September will host July's bunco on Wednesday, July 21. Kathy was our May bunco hostess. She treated us to homemade lasagna, salad, and garlic bread. Barabara was the lucky winner with most buncos and went home with a Sony Walkman. Michelle scored the traveling bunco prize. Jody won most wins and, Vickie had the second most wins. Christy was the biggest loser and Julie won the consolation door prize. Michelle prepared a complete ham dinner with Strawberry shortcake for dessert. We all splurged and ate too much! Julie brought baby Christian and we all took turns holding him. He is adorable.

Cindy was our sub for September and won the traveling bunco prize. Jody won about 10 buncos and easily took home the top prize. Jeannie won a rolloff against Christy for most wins, but Christy was still able to take home the 2nd most prize. Laurie had most losses and Vickie won the door prize!

Don't forget next bunco will be on a Wednesday, May 12 at Kathy's house. See you there!

Congratulations to Julie, who gave birth on bunco night in March to a baby boy, Christian. Jody was our hostess that night and we enjoyed tasty barbecued pork sandwiches, pasta salad and cole slaw. She also impressed us with her homemade brownie sundae for dessert.

We missed Michelle, who was out sick for the second month. Get well, Michelle! Kathy and Laurie were entertaining company so we invited subs Lia, Deena, Sheila and Ann to join us, and once again they made a clean sweep of the prizes. In addition to their wins, Barbara won most buncos and Jody won the door prize.

Michelle will host bunco on April 20. Christy was our hostess for February and she served huge baked potatoes with plenty of toppings. They were delicious. For dessert we had a decadent chocolate mousse cake.

We welcomed Vickie as our newest bunco babe, but missed Kim, who moved that very day, Michelle, who was sick, Julie, who was having contractions and Jody, who was on the mainland skiing. We enjoyed playing with Jeannie's mom Mary (visiting from the Northwest), Deena, and Ann as subs, except when they walked away with Traveling bunco, 2nd most wins and Most Buncos, respectively. Belinda's luck has definitely improved - winning the most games, Laurie won the door prize and Jane took home the most losses.

Next month's bunco will be at Jody's house on March 9. Hopefully she'll be back by then! January's bunco gave us a much needed jump start into the New Year. It was Mexican night with a Taco Salad, Fajitas and Tortilla Soup on the menu.

Laurie won most buncos in a three-way rolloff with Kathy and Jody. But lucky Kathy also had most wins and Jody had most losses so they were also able to bring home a prize. Barbara won in a rolloff for second most wins, Belinda won the traveling prize and Julie won our first door prize!

Sadly, it was Kim's last month since she will be relocating to Maryland. We had a great time when we got together at Chili's to bid her farewell. We will miss her a lot.

Next month's bunco will be at Christy's house on February 18. December was a special couples bunco hosted by Jeannie. She set up six tables, each starting off with two couples. After that, everyone was on their own. It was lots of fun and gave us a chance to get to know everyone's "other half."

Jeannie baked a ham and turkey and the side dishes were also delicious. We always seem to have plenty of food.

The ornament exchange was fun too, and there was a lot of exchanging as each of us "stole" to get our favorites only to have them stolen from us. And of course none of the Bunco Babes went home empty handed since there were plenty of prizes and secret pal gifts for all of us.

Check the Win Statistics to see which guys and gals were lucky that night.

Next month's bunco will be at Barbara's house on January 12, 1999. Jody continued her winning streak in November by rolling four buncos and taking home the top prize. Jeannie won a rolloff for most wins and also won the traveling bunco prize. Second most wins went to Laurie and Kim was a gracious hostess and settled for most losses.

The food was delicious and included a tasty caramel-pecan apple dip.

December's bunco will be a special occasion, marking the first couples bunco for our group. Jeannie is planning a huge feast with special prizes for the husbands. Don't forget the ornament exchange as well. The guys will finally get to see what we are really up to all those Tuesday nights! The date is tentatively set for December 19.

October's bunco was very exciting. We had a total of 22 buncos and Kim and Christy had a rolloff for the big prize. Even the rolloff was exciting, but Kim managed to walk away the winner. Laurie scored most wins, Jody won second most, and Barbara took home the traveling bunco prize. Kathy won in a rolloff for most losses.

Belinda served a delicious dinner and a great carrot cake for dessert. Too bad her luck wasn't as good as her cooking.

We welcome September to Hawaii Bunco Babes as Karen's replacement. Next bunco will be November 10 at Kim's house.

September proved to be lucky once again for Jody, who won the top prize for most buncos. Julie won most wins, Kim won 2nd most wins and Barbara managed to get the final bunco to take home the traveling prize. Christy, with most losses, was finally able to bring something home to show the kids. Check the Win Statistics to see how lucky or unlucky we have been since May.

Julie was a great hostess, providing us with a great dinner as well as lots of chocolate to keep our energy up. We love chocolate!!! :) Click on the recipe page for her delicious "Wild Rice Soup" and "Cornmeal Cake" as well as other favorite recipes.

Play was shortened so we could draw new secret pals and give up our identity of old ones.

The first annual bunco picnic was loads of fun and naturally there was so much delicious food! It was great getting husbands and almost all of our 22 kids together. In addition, former Bunco Babe Adrienne made a special appearance. Click E-Mail Former Bunco Babes to e-mail Adrienne.

Karen will be relocating to Maui soon so a new Bunco Babe will be named at the next meeting. We will miss Karen!

Next bunco meeting: Thursday, October 15 at Belinda's house.
