In 1752, he married to Sarah Hardy in Duplin Ga.

Lewis Lanier 1753-1793
Lewis was a cornet in Revolution. Married Margaret in Duplin Ga and settled in 1788 at Lotts Creek (near Aarons & Portal, Ga. in Effingham Co, Ga.) In 1792, he drowned in a flash flood in the Ogeechee River, returning home from his brothers.
Lewis and his brother Hardy went to Effinghan Co GA in 1788. Hardy moved to Bullock Co, Ga from 1790-1797 then settled in Liberty Co in 1802, Camden Co in 1811. He later moved to Alachua Coi, Florida in 1820, where he died in 1840.
