Luke Vaughan

Luke Vaughan was born in 1772 in Virginia. He was the son of Samuel Vaughan and Prudence Hood. Luke died in 1846 in Owens Co., Indiana, at the age of 74. He married Rebecca Edwards on 12 November 1798 in Sprinfgield, Washington Co., Kentucky. She was born in 1780 in Virginia. She was the daughter of Wm. Cassius Edwards and Lucy __________. Rebecca died after 5 August 1848 in Owens Co., Indiana. They had 6 children:

1. Beverly Vaughan, born in 1800
2. William Vaughan, born 1806
3. Thomas Vaughan, born 11 March 1809, died 12 October 1876
4. Sarah ("Sally") Vaughan, born 1812
5. Susanna Vaughan, born in 1818
6. Prudence Vaughan, born 28 September 1820, died 1894
