ROCKY VOM CASTELLBERG TT HIC OFA

Rocky was whelped 03/28/91 in Achkarren Germany were we purchased him from his breeder Oswald Scherer of Vom Castellberg Kennels.

OFA hips GS-37408G35M-T, Thyroid Normal, Full dentation

Rocky passed away in my arms after suffering a stroke on 26/09/00. He was 9 1/2 years old, and lived those years to the fullest. He will be missed beyond words. At age 9, he was diagnosed with Degenerative Myelopathy. This is a horrendous disease that affects the spinal column and causes paralysis. I will miss:

The way I couldn't eat a banana without giving you half or more
The way you loved snow balls, but hated being outside in the cold
The way you loved to dig and play in the snow or sand or leaf piles
The way you would rest your head on my arm to tell me it was time for bed
The way you would close your eyes tight pretending to be asleep so we wouldn't make you get up and go outside too early in the morning
The way you kept my feet warm in bed
The way you figured if you didn't look at us, we couldn't see you
The way you would tip toe through the house looking for bad guys when I would be home alone and nervous
The way I couldn't walk across a room without you following me...just incase
The way you would step on my feet as I tried to walk, because you had to be as close to me as you could get
The way you would sit and stare at the counter before bed, waiting for me to give you your bedtime snack
The way you could dance on your toe nails while still sitting down
The way I always felt safe just by having you with me
The way you hated car rides, but refused to be left home
The way you hated gas station attendants
The way you would lay by the door waiting for me to come home, even though everyone else was in the house to be with
The way you loved to be vacuumed
The way you would roll on your back with your toy in your mouth
The way your neck felt when I would bury my face in it
The way you would get this look on your face when I told you how handsome you were
The way you would get so excited when we got near water as you wanted to go for a swim, yet hated the thought of a bath
The way you would tolerate a bath even though you hated them
The way you would let the kids use you as a pillow
The way you would lay on the floor beside the kids beds while I read bedtime stories
The way we would play hide-and-seek in the house, and of course, you always found me
The way you let me make mistakes and you never held it against me
The way you were always there
The way you made me feel so special
The way you would look in my eyes and see my soul and show me yours
The way you were my best friend
